The next few months will be full of holiday cheer.  What most people do not realize is the amount of work it takes to get your home into tip top shape for the holidays.  Countless lights, decorations, moving mechanical figures, audio, you name it some house has it.
Think about it, any holiday spanning from October to December has some sort of lights/moving contraption associated with it.  Halloween has spooky music, moving witches, lit up fake candles and jack-o-lanterns, Thanksgiving has lit up dining setting and don’t get me started on Christmas.

Luckily with technology put out by Cyber Technologies and their New York City Home Automation and New York City SystemsIntegration life this holiday will be a little bit easier.  Home integration and Smart Homes have become all the rage in the last few years.  Cyber Technologies has put together a few tips on how you will be able to facilitate your life with the use of Cyber Technologies special line of Smart Home appliances.

Set the Mood:

It’s all about the mood when it comes to the holidays. Think about it, what’s Halloween without the spooky factor or Thanksgiving without the warm fuzzy feeling you get when you walk into someone’s home and see that beautiful table set with an extravagant centerpiece.

With home automation you can set these moods.  Holiday music, mood lighting and even messages posted across your television sets can all be controlled through the use of a home automation system.  You’ll have your guest in awe the minute they walk through your door.

Holiday Lights are a Must:

If you’re using Control4 switches you are in luck.  Your Control4 switches, dimmers and keypads allow you to set your LEDs so that they match the holiday season.  Celebrating Christmas or Kwanzaa set your LEDs to green and red.  Celebrating Hanukkah? No problem set those bad boys to blue and white.

Make a Scene:

We mean that in a good way.  With a home automation system you can program your holiday lights to go off at specific times throughout the day.  How many times have you gone by a home after sundown to see that their Christmas light haven’t been turned on? No more, by setting a specific time your house is sure to shine every night.  You can also designate different parts of your home to specific mood music.  Living room may be lively Christmas songs where as your den may have a calmer playlist.

If you’re interested on how you can set up your very own home automation system call the experts, Cyber Technology is there to help.  For more information on their following services contact Cyber Technologies today.

Dyslexia isn’t the same for everyone. While some people might experience the unsettling sensation of words hovering and jumping off the page or certain letters back-to-front or upside down, others might be able to read the words without trouble, except they get a dreadful headache.

The intriguing thing about dyslexia is that a person’s eyes aren’t at fault; it’s the way in which their mind interprets what they’re seeing that causes problems. Dyslexia is like the ultimate – and most frustrating – optical illusion.

Here is a list of some, but not all, of the things someone can experience when they have dyslexia. Note: sometimes they may only present one symptom or even none at all. It’s best to get diagnosed by a professional.

-          Letters appear back-to-front or even upside down.
-          Text may hover over the page and/or slide around
-          Confusion between letters of similar shape, such as o, e, and c
-          Confusion between letters such as b, p, and q.
-          Letters appear in unusual order
-          Letters squished together
-          The letters may appear straightforward to read as they’re in the right order, but they have trouble sounding out the words. In other words, a dyslexic person may not be capable of linking the physical appearance of letters to the sounds they ought to produce.
-          Sometimes, a dyslexia sufferer can produce sounds from the letters in sequence, but then have a tough time recognizing what the word means, no matter how often they’ve used that particular word before.
-          There is even a type of dyslexia where someone has no trouble reading the words, but then is not able to remember anything they’ve just read.

Dyslexia is a debilitating affliction that has nothing to do with one’s level of intelligence. It is simply the way in which their brain interprets what they are seeing. There are ways for dyslexics to be trained to read and write in new ways that have real results.

If you’re in New York City, consider hiring a private tutor to assist your child with any difficulties they are having whiling they are learning to overcome dyslexia. Big Apple Tutoring, one of the most respected academic tutoring services in NYC, has a special private tutor division that is dedicated to tutoring children with learning difficulties.

Disabilities have existed since the dawn of time and were considered to be a burden to the families of those afflicted by a physical or mental disability. In the past having a disability would limit you to very few things but today thanks to public awareness being born with a disability or suffering an accident is no longer a hindrance from doing anything you want to do. The following personages have been carefully selected by Wheelers Van Rentals and are an inspiration to those that suffer from physical and or mental disabilities.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt
Known for being the only US president elected 4 terms and entering America into World War Two, FDR contracted Polio at the age of 39 while vacationing in Campobello Island and was paralyzed from the waist down. Roosevelt was one of America’s most beloved presidents and at the time tried many different therapies to hide from the public that he was in a wheelchair. His wife Eleanor was his anchor and helped him for many years before he died in April 1945 only 3 months after being elected for a fourth term.

Steven Hawking
We’ve all seen him on the cover of science magazines and guest starring on shows like the Simpsons and The Big Bang Theory but who is he? Well, Professor Stephen Hawking is an internationally renowned physicist and the voice of Motor Neuron Disease (MND). Professor Hawking contracted the disease at the young age of 21 and was told by experts that he would not live longer than 2 years. Here we are 30 years hence and this well-known genius continues to suffer the conditions such as inability to walk and difficulty breathing but despite prognostics, is still alive and making regular appearances and providing insights on his research and books.

Christopher Reeve
Ubiquitous in the late 70s and 80s for playing The Man of Steel in DC Comic’s Superman, Reeve was paralyzed from the neck down in 1995 after suffering a near fatal horse riding accident. He then continued to make the news with his work advocating stem cell research in the 1990s. He was confined to a wheelchair and founded the Christopher Reeve foundation.  Reeve died in 2004 due to cardiac arrest caused by a systemic infection.

Two of these men are no longer with us but they are remembered for being heroes in their respective fields. Reeve for being a celebrity and using his influence to raise awareness for stem cell research and FDR for showing us how much of a hindrance a disability was years ago and overcoming a physical disability becoming one of America’s most cherished presidents. Steven Hawking was thought to not be able to amount to much in his early college years but has overcome adversities on many levels to become one of the most influential men in science in the last 50 years. In the month of October, (Orlando Wheelchair Van Rentals month) Wheelers Van Rentals honors these men.

A globalized world can often be construed as something negative by crazy people often comparing globalization to the beginning of a global state, global currency and even farfetched ideas like mind-control. Globalization gives people the opportunity of learning about different cultures and customs through tools like the internet and getting around is easier now than ever. Traveling has surpassed tangible goods as the #1 thing people wish to do with their hard earned money and this is all thanks to globalization.

A fundamental part of New York City’s rich tapestry is its long history of immigration; of vastly different cultures coming together to create one of the most exciting and diverse cities on the planet.
Private tutoring Manhattan

As recent as December 2013 the City Planning Department published a study, titled The Newest New Yorkers, which showed that nearly half of all residents of New York City were born overseas. In fact, the study found that
3.1 million of New York City’s 8.2 million residents are immigrants.

Naturally, parents want the best for their child; that’s often why they’ve come all this way, to realize their particular version of the American dream. This may become difficult as some parents who grew up speaking a different language and were schooled in an entirely different school systems, thus making it difficult for them to assist their child with homework and guiding them through the complicated (not to mention demanding) New York school curriculum.

That’s where Big Apple Tutoring comes in. Big Apple Tutoring specializes in private tutoring Manhattan. They provide top-quality service to ensure your child succeeds, no matter the language barriers.
Big Apple Tutoring Director, Daniel C. Levine, was inspired to start what is now one of the most sought-after top tutoring agencies in Manhattan after becoming profoundly disillusioned by the way other so-called reputable tutoring agencies farmed out private tutors without taking into consideration how they’d positively impact the child’s unique learning style. Those companies put profit before anything else, failing to provide a quality private tutoring Manhattan education that families were paying to see.

With special services such as the “home work help NYC” program, Big Apple Tutoring has all the bases covered. Or if you’re interested in hiring a private tutor Manhattan to prepare your child for a particular test, such as the formidable SATs, they can help with that too.

Big Apple Tutoring will work with you and your child to create the most effective tutoring schedule that will have your child engaged and excited about learning, as well as getting impressive grades that far exceed those of their peers.

Aside from the most obvious advantage that your child’s grades will dramatically improve with the aid of a private tutor, there are a number of other compelling reasons that will have you convinced that your child will greatly benefit from one-on-one tutoring with a private tutor NYC:
  1. As you’re paying for the service, you have greater control not only over what your child is learning, but who is teaching them. It is completely up to you who tutors your child. This allows you the possibility to employ someone whose teaching style and personality matches your child’s needs.
  2. Classrooms are often overcrowded and unruly environments, leaving even the most talented and focused teachers unable to adequately educate your child and give them the attention they require. On the other hand, a private tutor NYC can focus on specific areas to really engage your child and explore a subject in depth.
  3. Moreover, revisiting in greater depth a subject just touched upon in class will give your child a more thorough understanding of a topic. This will inspire confidence in their ability to learn as well as awareness that there’s always something more to learn than the basics covered in class.
4.      This brings me to my next point: if your child is struggling in a particular area, a one-on-one tutor Manhattan will give them the support and attention they need to really master the subject rather than falling behind and losing interest due to lack of understanding. After all, it’s no secret that as soon as a child falls behind and doesn’t understand the basics, they will most likely not be able to grasp more advanced concepts as the class progresses through the topic.
  1. While teachers are driven by the need to meet school and state-imposed standards when covering a topic in class, a one-on-one tutor Manhattan can really get the bottom of what your child needs to improve on and focus solely on educating your child for the purpose of personal and academic growth rather than ticking arbitrary educational boxes.
  2. What’s more, your child is less likely to become distracted because they will be receiving all the attention of their private tutor NYC.
  3. This undivided attention will build confidence in your child as well as the awareness that they cannot “slack off” because the tutor is fully aware of how capable they really are.
  4. Confidence leads to creativity. The more secure a child feels in mastering the basics of a subject, the freer they are to become more creative with developing their thought processes. This will enable them to grasp complicated concepts with greater ease.
  5. Many shy children are disadvantaged by their inability to ask questions in class. With a one-on-one tutor Manhattan, they will be in a more comfortable and supportive environment, enabling them to open up and actually ask questions. This allows them to actually engage in their learning rather than being a passive observer.
  6. If the tutor is from a prestigious academic tutoring service such as Big Apple Tutoring, they will be a specialist in their field, having studied at university level the topic they are teaching your child. This means they are likely to have great enthusiasm for their subject and will inspire in your child an interest in it too.

Academictutoring services NYC aren’t all created equal. For a professional private tutoring service that you can trust, go no further than Big Apple Tutoring. Big Apple Tutoring has earned its well-deserved reputation for being one of the toptutoring agencies in New York City thanks to Director Daniel C. Levine’s commitment to employing only the best tutors. Levine hand picks his talented pool of tutors who have impeccable resumes and referrals, along with an impressive academic record and proven experience, ensuring your child’s academic performance will far exceed what they thought they were capable of.
